Realtor Jen Crow with Equity Colorado is an expert in the Boulder-Broomfield area and its residential offerings; and when she went searching for a community for her own family she quickly focused on Anthem Colorado in Broomfield -- ten minutes from the heart of the U.S. 36 corridor, literally wrapped in dramatic mountain views and by family-friendly amenities: 22 parks, 48 miles of trails, and two world-class rec centers. But what’s surprised her most about living in Anthem is the vibrant sense of community. “We know more people in four months here than in nine years at our other neighborhood,” says Crow – noting that virtually all of the people in the blocks surrounding her new home are friends with each other. Crow says she began receiving group texts almost as soon as they were settled in (“Anybody want to come over?” “My daughter is selling Girl Scout cookies,” etc.) Her school-aged kids have loads of new friends. “Our 11-year-old has five 11-year-olds in a 3-block radius,” she adds.
Crow had one advantage when she shopped for a home in Anthem Highlands: She was very familiar with Colorado’s very competitive market for homes, with more buyers than sellers (in her own practice she has no resale listings now that aren’t under contract). “I knew what homes were going for,” she adds. CalAtlantic Homes showed her a ready to-move-in home that fit the bill. “When I found this one, I wrote a check right there.”
