Volunteerism at Anthem: The good life meets doing good
People at Anthem find plenty of ways to make the world a better place—especially in the greater Broomfield part of it. Two ongoing initiatives are Anthem Impact and Anthem Gives Back. Anthem Impact gets residents out and serving in the community. For instance, September’s After School Snack Drive found residents assembling snack bags for the younger recipients at local food banks. Anthen Gives Back hosts donations-based events on alternate months.
In October, Anthem Gives Back will gather volunteers at the Parkside Community Center in Anthem Highlands for a canned food drive. Donations received will be forwarded to the food drives of two very worthwhile nearby organizations, the Broomfield FISH Food Bank and Bodhi Battalion, a Westminster charity that supports combat veterans who struggle with PTSD, substance abuse and other issues. Residents are invited to stop by Parkside (with a can or two, of course), where they can learn more about how to get involved with these two programs.
